Educational Experience and Instructional Design Effectiveness Within the Community of Inquiry Framework

چکیده
Within its 20 years of development, the Community Inquiry (CoI) framework has become most widely used theoretical in e-learning. It is considered much distance education literature to be a robust collaborative-constructivist process model that uses three essential elements interpret educational experience: cognitive presence, teaching and social presence. Widespread use CoI resulted several criticisms, such as having no guidelines for implementation, incorporation assessment evaluation metrics, widespread consensus on current model’s ability represent all contributing factors promote positive experience. However, there an opportunity overcome these shortcomings, some which may exist, CoI’s extraordinary strength creating experience, by adding instructional design effectiveness. The purpose this combination review opinion present major controversies shine light importance one approach designing critical parts Additionally, given paper argues make explicit designers instructors need address using within effective overall design.
